Join an Upcoming Public Walk or Event
Come on a Forest Therapy Walk on your own or with others. We walk in "near nature" -- mostly within the city of Ottawa-Gatineau, and group size is about 8-16 people. Pre-registration is required. You don't need a high level of fitness, and some walks are on accessible trails. Once you register, we'll send directions and info on what to bring, how to dress, etc.
Full Moon Over Mud Lake
Sunday, Feb. 9, 7:30 to 9:15 pm -- Mud Lake, Britannia Conservation Area
Walk on a winter trail in the moonlight and find your place of inner and outer calm.
Your Guide offers gentle invitations to help you move effortlessly from the busy pace of modern life to a place of calm presence. Many people discover new insights and a feeling of nature re-connection that continues long after the walk is over. This “slow time” in nature is also shown to reduce blood pressure, lower stress hormones, and boost the immune system, focus and creativity.
We end the walk with locally harvested wild tea. DRESS WARMLY. We move slowly and pause often. $20 per person. After you register, we'll send a list of how to dress and what to bring, plus the exact meeting spot. Tickets here on Eventbrite.
Winter Forest Bathing in Gatineau Park
Saturday, Feb 22, 1:00 to 3:30 pm -- Lac Carman
Step away from your stresses -- wander without hurry -- rediscover the childlike ability to be in the moment, embracing winter. Your Guide offers a series of gentle invitations, to help you de-stress and awaken your senses to the healing gifts of nature.
We'll walk in to Carman Lake, exploring invitations on the way. A warm campfire will be waiting for us, and we'll share wild forest tea around the fire before returning. This is a bit longer than some walks I offer, so you need to be fit enough to walk 2- 3 km on a snowy trail.
$25/person. Pre-registration required. A limited number of tickets available at a reduced price. Contact me for the Discount Code.
We'll meet at P15 on Cross Loop Road, a 25-minute drive from downtown Ottawa. I'll send more details once you register. Tickets via Eventbrite.
Winter Wonder Forest Walk
New dates will be added regularly; sign up to be notified of upcoming walks. If you have a group of people who'd like to experience a walk together, I'm more than happy to schedule a private walk at a time and place that works for you. See the Private Walks page.
