Covid-19 Protocols
To Help Us All Be Healthy

Covid-19 Protocols
Please read before signing the Participant Agreement & Release Form

The precautions below are being taken for your safety and comfort, to support you in experiencing the calming and immune-boosting benefits of an immersive nature experience.
  1. As much as possible, registration, payment, and signing of release forms will be on-line, in advance of the walk. Remotely-guided walks are also being offered.
  2. Do not participate in an in-person walk if you have any Covid-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, difficulty breathing or gastro-intestinal issues; or if in the 10 days prior to the walk you’ve been in close contact with somebody who has Covid-19, or you have traveled in an area with a high rate of infection. A full refund will be given when you cancel at least 24 hours before the walk.
  3. If a participant arrives and has symptoms consistent with Covid-19 without any other cause, such as allergies, they will stay behind and not participate.
  4. Participants who are not part of the same household will keep two metres distance between them.
  5. Private walks are also available; if participants are not all in the same household then the same protocols apply as for public walks.
  6. Walk locations will be on trails where it is possible to maintain distance.
  7. Each participant will bring a protective face mask. You will only be asked to wear it when we cannot maintain the required distance. At other times you may choose to wear your mask.
  8. Wild-crafted tea  is offered at the end of the walk. Please bring your own small teacup if you would prefer not to use the cups that will be provided.
  9. Hand sanitizer will be available.
  10. You are asked to notify Forest Therapy Ottawa if you develop symptoms or test positive within 10 days of the walk.
  11. These protocols will be updated and revised in keeping with Ontario Government decisions and new recommendations from Ottawa Public Health.

Now that you've reviewed the Protocols, please sign the Participant Agreement/Release before the walk.

I’m so pleased to be able to offer the support of Nature & Forest Therapy Walks at this time. With the strain of this pandemic, this kind of time in nature offers immense healing benefits for our over-stressed nervous systems, and gives us an opportunity to be together in a safe and supportive way, and re-connect with ourselves and the land.
